Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi is a 984 bed multi speciality hospital fully funded by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The hospital which was known as Willingdon Hospital was formed in the early 20th century by the British for their government staff.
The control of the hospital was shifted to the New Delhi Municipal Committee after Independence of India for few years and then again it came directly under Central Government of India in 1954.
Located at Baba Kharag Singh Marg, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital is spread over an area of 30 acres and is one of the important hospitals under Central Government Health Scheme(CGHS). The emergency services are available in the hospital 24 hours and deals with ambulance services.
The hospital is known for its Cardiac and Cardiac Cath lab that has facilities of TMT, Pace Maker implantation, Echo Cardiography and Coronary Angiography. The hospital also has its own Blood Bank.
